Who we are
RSIAJP is developed by SARL Grenat, a software development and consultancy company located in France.
Application privacy
We are very conscious that data privacy is critical to many of our users and thus fully explain what data we collect (if any) and how that is used (if at all). Wherever we don’t specify anything, please refer to Apple’s, Google’s or Microsoft’s own privacy policies (for example with regards to purchasing applications).
What data does the application use or collect ?
RSiAJP and RSiAJP-Lite applications
No data collected by the application is shared outside of the application except when you email yourself data logs that include the GPS location, this is not automatic.
-GPS Location: If you allow the application to use your internal (or external) GPS, this data will be used in order to calculate and display your current speed, as well as calculate which gear you’re in for display.
-Data from your car’s ECU: Data such as RPM, water and air temperatures as well as faults is collected from your car’s ECU when the application is connected to it.
RSiAJP Designer
The designer doesn’t collect any personal information.
What do we do with this data ?
We display it so that you can see what is happening inside your car’s ECU and we can also display your travelling speed, heading and GPS location.
What do we NOT do with this data ?
Put simply, we don’t store it, we don’t share it, we don’t send it anywhere, we don’t do anything with it without your consent. This means that only if you choose to log data from the ECU, or enable the debug log from the application’s preferences and send yourself (or someone else) and email with this data will we store and share some data, but you are in total control.
What do we ask you to enable when the application is running ?
–Bluetooth Access: if you use a bluetooth adapter, this is key to the application being of any use, without it we cannot get data from the ECU.
–Serial/USB access: if you use a USB Serial adapter, this is key to the application being of any use, without it we cannot get data from the ECU.
–Location Services: this is so that we can display speed and calculate which gear you’re in – you may turn this off if you wish, however some of the fields and gauges will not be updated as a result.
Note: We cannot guarantee this policy applies to devices that are running third party operating system software (in other words, jailbroken devices) since we have no control or knowledge of those third parties’ privacy policy.
