We are very conscious that data privacy is critical to many of our users and thus fully explain what data we collect (if any) and how that is used (if at all). Wherever we don't specify anything, please refer to Apple's own privacy policy (for example with regards to purchasing applications).

What data does the application use or collect ?

-GPS Location: If you allow the application to use your internal (or external) GPS, this data will be used in order to calculate your current speed, as well as heading and location.

-Data from your car's ECU: Data such as RPM, water and air temperatures as well as faults is collected from your car's ECU when the application is connected to it.

-Your email address (optionally): So that we can prefill the To: address of an email with log data attached if you choose to do so.

What do we do with this data ?

We display it so that you can see what is happening inside your car's ECU and we can also display your travelling speed, heading and GPS location.

What do we NOT do with this data ?

Put simply, we don't store it, we don't share it, we don't send it anywhere, we don't do anything with it without your consent. This means that only if you choose to log data from the ECU, or enable the debug log from the application's preferences and send yourself (or someone else) and email with this data will we store and share some data, but you are in total control.

Once the email has been sent successfully, the data is deleted.

What do we ask you to enable when the application is running ?

-Bluetooth Access: this is key to the application being of any use, without it we cannot get data from the ECU.

-Location Services: this is so that we can display speed and location/heading - you may turn this off if you wish, however some of the fields and gauges will not be updated as a result.

You may choose to enable these in the background, however the application will only access bluetooth and GPS location services while running in the background if data logging is enabled. In all other cases, the bluetooth connection and location services are turned off while in background mode.

Note: We cannot guarantee this policy applies to devices that are running third party operating system software (in other words, jailbroken devices) since we have no control or knowledge of those third parties' privacy policy.
